VLOG for Villa Joep

How big are the odds that 2 children of 2 colleagues in 1 company get the diagnosis neuroblastoma childhood cancer? It happened to Maryam Baars and Evelien Huising from VLOG.

In the left picture you see Maryam from the GLM team with her 10-year-old daughter Jasmin. Jasmin is a very happy and energetic girl that was diagnosed with high risk nb when she was 3 and was treated during 2,5 years. She is a survivor and her next appointment is scheduled in 2027 so that is really good news. 

In the other picture you see Evelien’s youngest son Xander, a very sweet and kind little boy. He was only 2 when he was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of nb. He passed away 8 months later as treatment was not successful. This year that is 20 years ago.
